Candidate Blog Ads - Effective!
Jon Stahl catches a Daily Kos post regarding blog ads posted by Democratic Congressional Candidate Ben Chandler in Kentucky 06 (the special election to fill now-governor Ernie Fletcher’s seat is on February 17th) that I had missed (bad political consultant. Bad!).
This occurance, a candidate buying EXTREMELY targeted ads online and making a profit on them, is a more recent occurance and challenges the old meme that advertising online is a waste of time. Trying to convince most campaigns of that, however, is extremely difficult.
