IM Archiving
Clay at Corante points to IMSmarter, an IM archiver. He and the commenters question the “centralization” of the decentralized application (with good reason).
Commenter Charlie mentions that it is becoming standard practice in the investment industry to archive IM converstations. Clearly the political sphere (certainly the public sphere) needs to think about that. I would certainly be interested to see interoffice IMs regarding public policy - that one would imagine would be a matter of public record.
hmmm….
